I had my ultrasound today (went in hoping to see the hb), the nurse said I was 6 weeks 1 day (i say otherwise-5w6d). Anyway, when we did the ultrasound there was only the gestational sac. Our RE looked and he didn't see anything either, they said it maybe too early and scheduled another appointment for Tuesday. My HCG was about 6,300 but he said that didn't tell us much. Anyone have this happen to them and then have a yolk sac/fetus a few days later? The doctor wouldnt really say much...

Re: No fetus on 6w1d ultrasound
I don't have any experience with this either but you'll be in my thoughts! ?The PPs are right - even 24 hours makes a HUGE difference.?
I hope it works out. I went in at 6 weeks and they also only saw the sac, but the same day people here at 6 weeks 3 days saw their baby and heartbeats. I agree that a day or 2 makes all the diffrence. They had me back at 7 weeks 5 days, after a vacation and we saw the baby and heartbeat. We go back in next on 12/23.
I am praying for you.
I went in at 5wks 5days and there was just a sac. Next week there was a baby with a HB!
GL!!!
at 5w+ a few days we just had two sacs... 3 days later we had little babies and heartbeats... every day really does matter that early on- you could have had a late implant and not be quite as far as they thought.
in my prayers!!!!!!
The same thing happened to me. I went in at 6w5d and all we saw was a sac, no embryo. My doctor did not give me too good of an outlook and told me to come back again in a week. A week later we had an embryo with a beating heart. The baby is still measuring 10 days behind but the doctor was very optimistic and excited. He mentioned that this happens all the time. Honestly, I have been an absolute wreck about it all week even though my doctor told us we will be fine. We go back on Monday to find out if it grew any more. I am telling you this because 6w1d seems really early to verify a heartbeat. My doctor even told me that for me 6w5d was a little earlier than when he likes to see verify a heartbeat. He prefers 7 weeks because of how different embryos can grow in the beginning. Best of luck to you and try not to worry too much!

I'm praying that it was too early for you. At this stage, they grow so much every single day that to be off by even a few days can be a big difference. Praying for a heartbeat for you on Tuesday!!
