We have found that by swaddling DS, he is able to actually sleep on his own for a few hours, which is awesome. However, one of the NICU nurses told us that it is not recommended to swaddle at night anymore. Why is this? Is it because of people not paying attention to the baby body temperature? Has anyone else heard this? I am not sure if I totally trust what this nurse said because she was kinda old and said some weird things while we were there.

Re: Who swaddles at night?
We do, and the nurses swaddled DS at the hospital for us.
I think it's pretty common. bright LOVES his swaddle blanket!
swaddle, swaddle,swaddle....
our babies are swaddled whenever they need to go to sleep...they love it and it helps them relax....
babies were swaddled in hospital too...never heard it was a bad idea
Our hospital swaddled with 2 blankets!!!
We still swaddle. It's actually the only way G will sleep. Even nap-time during the day I swaddle him, and if we're out I tuck his blanket in so tight to not move his arms.
So yeah, I'm a swaddle crazed mom... and SwaddleMe's are the bestest!
