Allergy ?-how long until symptoms appear?

A friend of mine gave a cookie to R, not realizing it had peanut butter in it and she ate it before I realized what she had. 

It's been over an hour, and no reaction, so I assume we're in the clear, yes? 

Guess we now know that she doesn't have a severe peanut allergy..
