hi girls-
last night I had some very heavy spotting (brown bleeding) but no cramping. I'm almost 6 weeks and I have my first u/s tomorrow morning. I called my nurse this morning and left a message but I haven't heard back from her yet.
Please tell me that spotting isn't terrible. :-( I know that some spotting is normal and I've heard it over and over again but I can't help but be worried that something is wrong.
anyone else experience this and end up with a healthy pregnancy?
Re: heavy spotting at 6 weeks? please reassure me
Aw, Rose - I know how devastating it is, even though we logically know that spotting is not uncommon.
I had spotting Tuesday and Wednesday last week and then full out bleeding (albeit very brief) on Thursday, Saturday and Monday. My U/S on Monday looked great and they found a small SCH. They think my lovenox was causing it to bleed even more.
I have another U/S tomorrow too and hoping for good things for both of us.
thanks, sweetie. :-) I thought I'd get my BFP and I would be happy and it would be all smooth sailing from there. Didn't realize how stressful all the waiting and wondering if everything is normal would be. :-( Good luck tomorrow on your u/s!
thank you!! thanks for the reassurance. (your DD is beautiful!)
well, the nurse just called back and told me what I expected to hear... "it's not unusual for women to see spotting during the first trimester. Just hang in there until tomorrow's u/s and hopefully we will see a viable pregnancy and a heartbeat."
I got more reassurance from you girls. :-)
Here's some more reassurance -
I had spotting until week 9, I think. Both red and brown. Everything's going great with the babies!
Bled bright red and heavy from weeks 5 - 7 with Jace.
They never did determine the cause....
Pic of him in my siggy - healthy as can be.
It sucks BAD to spot/bleed, etc. I swear - anyone who has to deal with IF should automatically get an "easy pregnancy" pass...
Hang in there!
Update us on your u/s tomorrow.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
