XP: Twisted Uterus???

Has anyone ever heard of this?  Is that the same as a heart shaped or bicornuate (sp?) uterus?  Just curious...someone told me that have that the other day-and I'm totally baffled because I've never heard of that.

  • I think some people call a retroverted uterus a "twisted uterus" or a "backwards uterus" by mistake.... it just means it's tiltled back.

  • Like pp said, maybe they meant "tilted" uterus instead? It's considered a normal variation (like eye color or hair color).

  • Tilted, yes. (raises hand as a former proud owner of the "worst retroversion I've ever seen" - per my RE)

    Twisted, no.

Any chance it was a misuse of a word?

Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
