He called with the results of the u/s. I let him know I was annoyed with his receptionist's not calling me back. And I told him that if there was a problem, I could've taken care of it weeks ago the same way i did today.
She needs to see an orthopedist for a possible hip sublaxation (sp?). His exact words were "well she's had an u/s and it showed a possible problem. Now she has to see an orthopedist." And it sounded really condescending. So I replied with "and...? if that what we need to do, that's what we need to do. That's why I have ins. So that way when and if we need to see someone, we can." He asked why the dr who prescribed an u/s didn't send me to the ortho. SO I said, "it's probably because I pushed for her to look further into her hip clicking. If she had advised why I didn't need to have an u/s done, I may not have pushed for it. But being that her hip is clicking, I didn't want to hear at 5 months that I should've taken care of it at 2 months of age." He said "ooooooh". Like she did it just to shut me up. ?Uh..... Not for anything, but she wrote in the chart that her leg was shorter & the hip clicked!?
I don't know. If there is a problem or possible problem, i'm going to push the drs to look into it. And I make no apologies for that.?
So tomorrow we go for her well visit with a different dr in the practice. Today I spoke to the head of the practice and dd's regular pedi. I'm starting to not like her regular pedi and may switch to the one we're seeing tomorrow. He's so much more relaxed. Not lax in his treatment, just relaxed in that he takes his time & actually listens & hears what you say t him. ?
Re: Update re: pedi
