BFP but beta didn't double...

My first beta was 116 on Monday after IVF #2.    Today it was 196.   They want me to come back in a week and see what it does since it didn't quite double.     As if this whole process hasn't been stressful enough, now I am driving myself crazy researching beta numbers!    Any positive stories out there?   TIA

That is very close to doubling!!  From what I understand healthy doubling rates can vary up to 72 hrs - at which point you would have more than doubled!  Good luck!  I hope this is it for you!

Betas should double within 72 hours and you have a doubling time of 2.64 days (about 63 hours). Hang in there, I think you'll be fine!

that is close to a double!  some betas take 3 days to double- i can't believe they are making you wait a WEEK!!!

my first beta with DS was 119 and 2nd was 226 2 days later... so it didn't double either- and as you can see in my sig pic- all is fine with him

Trust me, I was the biggest hcg researcher freak and you are fine. Your numbers only need to go up 66% every 48 hours. Your are going up 69%. Mine went up 75% and I am having twins and already saw heartbeats. I know this is impossible, but try to relax. Any good doctor will tell you that this rise is FINE. 

And a week is a long time to wait. Tell them you are coming in sooner!!!

Oh that is close enough! Mine had a doubling time of 56 hours.  Totally freaked me out, so I know how you feel...but it has turned out fine so far!

My RE said that people say "double" but it is really more like 80%, so your numbers look good to me

Non doubling success story here, actually yelling at the dog in the living room right now. I dont remember what the numbers were, but they didn't double either.
