Q for those of you who lost a twin

I'm going back to the Peri next Tuesday to check on the status of Baby A (the one who didn't make it).  I'll be 16 weeks exactly.  I'm a little concerned b/c when we had our NT the baby really hadn't reduced in size, and I'm hoping it really reduces this time.

Did anyone who lost a twin at about 9 weeks have an u/s at 16 weeks?  Had your lost twin gone down in size a lot?

 Thanks!!

Re: Q for those of you who lost a twin

  • Mine went down in size a lot and we were unable to visualize it at all on ultrasound at 20 weeks.
  • It was a very gradual process for me, but there was definitely a reduction in size each time I had an u/s.

  • We could see it on u/s well into the 20s week-wise, but I can't remember when it actually got smaller. It looked a lot smaller by then, though, since it stopped growing at 10 weeks and, of course, the other babies were huge by 16 weeks... so in comparison, it looked tiny.
  • I lost mine at 10 weeks and it was gone completely by my level II with the peri at 18 weeks.  GL, sweetie.  I know how hard it is to see it in there.
