Thinking of quiting WW

I have been doing WW now since September and my 10% goal was 15lbs. I am down 10 lbs and getting discouraged that it is not happening faster. And I am not good or very on top of tracking points. I am thinking my money would be better spent with my gym membership and doing that more than WW. I eat pretty good and I understand the program and can follow it even if I am not going to the meetings but add in my gym on top of eating better. I just can't afford both gym and WW.

  • If you think you can follow the same kind of diet as on WW without paying for it and going to the meetings, a gym membership is a good idea.  I was on WW for a few months before my wedding and I really got the hang of it.  If I decided to diet again (which I should), I think I could follow the points on my own.

  • Honestly its hard to lose much weight at all through thanksgiving and christmas!  I've gained 5 lbs recently and am working on losing it again.  But you have to do what works for you, I found that before we had the gym that this was the easiest way for me to lose weight but tracking is key especially knowing your portions.  If your going to quit ww you might want to consider getting one of their food scales.  I LOVE mine and have found that sometimes I cheat myself out of food!  But it will calculate pts and everything for you.  Getting my rear to the gym is a far harder task ; )

  • I do WW without going to the meetings. I currently weigh less than before I got pg and 5lbs less since I started tracking points again. I have a gym membership and so far its working out great. I feel sooo good right now. Now I just need to keep it up! GL!

  • I completely understand.  Lately I do not track my points either.  I eat the same things for B-fast and lunch and dinner I have whatever, I just try to stay with good portion control.   I think I could 100% do it without paying for it or going to the meetings.  I do like the weighing in there though.  It gives me something to work toward.  (I do weigh in everyday at home though)  :)

As you know, I'm hoping for a BFP soon, then I'd have to quit.  Until then I'm just plugging away.   We too are going to join the gym after Christmas.  (PG or not)  I too will re-evaluate paying for both after the 1st of the year.
