How early is too early to call someone's home?

Just curious what others think - how early is too early to call someone at home?

DS has an appt. later this morning and they called at 8:10AM this morning to confirm.  Argh.  Yeah, we're already up, but that just seems too early to me for "professional" phone calls.  We seem to be getting more and more early calls lately.

I'm thinking 8:30AM at the very earliest, and really after 9:00AM would be more appropriate.

My office rule of thumb is no outgoing calls before 10... But with a doctor's office I guess they have to call to confirm as early as possible so they can reschedule others if need be

I would think after 9:00am.

9:00 for a call like that. Our dentist often calls early to confirm and it really drives me nuts.?

I think I'm just being pissy too b/c DS fell down the bottom few stairs this morning trying to "race" to see who was calling so early

I normally don't call until after 9 at the earliest.  Most days, I want until after 10.

I say around 8am myself. Considering that most businesses around here start at 8. I know there have been times when I call my mom or my sister at 7am.

I forgot to add, that all of our Dr's will call the day before to confirm an appt.
