Hard day

Today would have been hard enough without all the added stress. Today is H and I's first anniversary and this is not how i planned it. That's for sure. On top of all that, DS was supposed to start daycare today but can't because he has to go get shots and bloodwork done. One of his many doctors wants to put him on a new medicine that he will be on for at least a year. I however don''t think it is necessary because he is doing just fine on the meds he is on. The new med will require blood draws once a week to monitior progress, and will make him immune comprimised. He is finally on the weight chart but according to my home scale hasn't gained but a few ounces in 2 weeks.We have an appt with pedi this afternoon so we will get a more accurate weight. All i want to do is stay in bed all day...crappy days sure do stink...

*Hugs*  If you don't feel comfortable with the new med I would ask questions or get a second opinion.  If there is one thing i've learned from being a preemie mom it's that doctors don't always know what is best for your baby and sometimes you have to be the advocate for your child.
