Me and DH were listening to the radio today and they were playing this song. We have listened to this song for years and have never paid attention to the lyrics, I guess.
How would you take the part where it says,
He'll say: are you married?
We'll say: No man.
But you can do the job when you're in town.
And then the part, "frolic and play the Eskimo way."
Are we pervs? Or is this how it's supposed to be taken? Dh's mom thinks we are crazy. She's going through her music looking for the "real" lyrics.
Here are the lyrics.
Re: Walking in a Winter Wonderland
It isn't pervy. It is about two people in love on a snowy day. They are playing in the snow.
The beginning of the song (which most people don't sing and which is not on the link you posted) goes like this:
Over the ground lies a mantle of white
A heaven of diamonds shine down through the night
Two hearts are thrillin? in spite of the chill in weather
Love knows no season
Love knows no clime
Romance can blossom any old time
Here in the open
We?re walkin? and hopin? together
