HELP! (TMI maybe)

Okay. Last Wednesday (12-3), DS #1 had an episode of spontaneous diarrhea (sorry). I'm talking like his underwear was full of nothing but brown water. Thought it was a freak thing. Then the next day it happened AGAIN, and the next day.....I called the Pedi on Saturday and the nurse said that as long as he didn't have any other symptoms (belly pain, fever, etc), they usually wait a week to see you.

Fast forward to Wednesday 12-10, it's been a week, and so I call and get a sick appt. They tell me it's a "GI bug" and will just take time to work itself out. Mind you, DS #2 doesn't have it, and neither does anyone else. Hm.

So now this is Saturday, 4 days after his appt, He had 2 episodes Thursday at my mom's and one last night. Then he had one this morning, in which he filled his underwear, left a pile (of liquid) on the carpet in his room, then went some more in the potty! Needless to say, I called and made an appt for Monday, because I don't know what else to do anymore!! We've restricted his diet since a couple days after it started. Anyone else have any experience with the mystery poop? Sorry so long, TIA.

No experience with my DD but... could be a diet thing. I'm totally pulling this out of left field here but there are random GI disorders that you may want to google, like Celiac Sprue (sp?), lactose intolerance, etc. However, I highly doubt they would happen overnight. Did DC eat out somewhere? Did any of you eat what he ate? Could be a bug... they can send a sample of his poop from his diaper to the lab for O & P (ovum & parasites), stool culture, etc. Ask about that? Have you travelled? Any bloody or black streaks in the poop? I can't think of anything else...

Never had this experience, but might consider seeing another pedi??
