I'm DYING to tell someone besides DH..but we're waiting til x-mas. We had already bought parents digital picture frames before we knew we were pg...so i'm going to make a little picture slide show to play on there.
I was afraid too, because we haven't been married very long. We live in different states, so I just told my mom over the phone. I told her "You're gonna be a grandma!" She just said "What?!" I was relieved after I told her though.. It turns out she is very excited. GL and don't stress it too much!
I called my mom (she lives in Florida, I'm in Pennsylvania) and told her. She was quiet for a few minutes, then asked me if I was joking! I told her of course I'm not joking. She then started crying and told my dad who got all excited in the background.
My mother has been in grandma mode since before I got married, which was over 3 years ago. Glad I'm finally able to give her a grandchild.
We went over to my parents' house and told them. They were thrilled after they asked "was it planned" lol. I don't think it really sunk in with my mom until a few days later and now she's already talking to my belly like the baby can hear her. Can you tell it's the first grandchild and she was never able to carry a baby to term (I'm adopted)? lol.
I got a "grandparents" book from Hallmark and taped a picture of our ultrasound in the front page. We had both sets of grandparents open them at the same time while opening Christmas presents.
my mom knew we were TTC so the minute i POAS i called her and told her, my grandma was there and so was my brother and sister so they all found out right away, i told my 2 aunts over email (we're very close but just dont see eachother often but we email eachother every day) we waited until we had our 1st appointment which was at 8 weeks and i got MIL a "grandmas brag book" i put some pictures of our nieces in there then a picture of each of our dogs and after that was a picture of the sonogram. MIL didn't get it right away but freaked out and was screaming, FIL was crying. it was good
My mother knew we were TTC .... so when the tests confirmed a muffin in the oven ....
I called her and said, "your old!" she laughed and said, "Gee thanks (and some other remarks, we joke allot)" and I then told her it was because she was going to be a granny!
We thought it was funny ........ I then told my brother "The anti-christ is coming" (we're weird I know and no we don't worship Satan!!) He laughed and knew right away!
We went and bought my parents a onzie that said "What happens at Grandmas stays at Grandmas" and a rattle. We wrapped them up and gave it to them one night. They opened it up and were sooooo excited!! We also bought his parents a nice set of baby bibs and a rattle, wrapped that up and gave it to them. They opened it up and went crazy, they were so happy!!

I got 3 BFP's on Friday and just got results from the blood test today. ?My mom's bday is this week so we are going to tell her and the rest of the family at her bday lunch saturday. ?We're planning on getting her a onsie or something too. ?Cant wait to see her reaction! ?
My husband and I just found out yesterday that we are pregnant with our first baby (!!!!!!!!!) and we wanted to tell my parents in a special way because I am the oldest and this will be their first grandchild....So, we ordered a frame from a site with gifts for new grandparents. It's adorable and says 'our first grandbaby' and has an opening for a vertical picture next to the caption. We're going to send that as soon as it gets here with nothing else on it but a post-it saying "See Ya in October". They have no idea AT ALL I'm pregnant (stillll so incredible to say ) so this will be quite memorable for them.
We also wanted to do the same idea but wait til we had the first sonogram, but my appointment isn't til February 27...we want them to be the first to know and CANNOT hold this news in that long!!!
