Moms of 2 or more...

Please help with my latest challenge.

DS #1 needs a step stool in the bathroom.

DS #2 is a serious monkey.  Several times I've found him atop a very high step stool on a tile floor.  It's got emergency room written all over it.

Anyone delt with this challenge?

Aside from "watch him closer" do you have any words of wisdom?

Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.

  • We leave the bathroom door shut.

  • I should add that he placement of the stool in the powder bath blocks us from just keeping the door closed.  It's kinda heavy to move each time we leave the room (heavy wood)

And....training the 13 yr old to constantly close the door to the upstairs bathroom would be a challenge.

And yet - keeping the doors closed is the only solution I can come up with.

I just hope the toddler can get to the potty fast enough when you add in having to open the door!

  • Can you get a lighter stool then?

My dd can't open the door yet but we don't usually have to rush to the toilet.  She tells me when she has to go but it isn't urgent.

Good luck.  My dd2 just started crawling but we leave it shut for dd1 or she likes to load up the toilet with TP and flush.

  • I guess I'll have to look into a lighter stool.

It took me FOREVER to find one for the powder bath because I needed a tall one but one that was also narrow since the space is so small.

    Back to the drawing board!

  • We leave the bathroom door shut also. You just have to keep on them about it...  its now habit for my 6 and 4yr olds to shut the door.  A 13yr old should be easy!!! Smile
  • I have one real climber and one not climber. I have gated the kids into the kitchen/playroom combo. They don't get to the bathroom without me opening a gate.
