NPR: Vonage anyone?

Do you have it?  like it?  Ca you use your old number?  WHat is your total montly bill with taxes? Thanks

  • I had it and HATED it.  There service is so unrealable and then when I went to cancel it before the free trial thing was up they wouldn't release my number and I ended up having to pay a disconnect fee.  I would NEVER rec. or use them again......their service was always disconnecting.
  • my MIL has it and loves it.  I know someone else who also uses it and loves it.  I don't know what their bills are with taxes though.  DH and I are probably switching to it soon.  We use our cells most of the time, but want a land line because my parents have a different cell carrier and live far away.

  • We had it for a week but never actually got it hooked up!  I signed up through the free trial and all that, explained we had direct tv and tivo.  They sent the equipment and said it was easy to set up.  My husband and friend, who both know a lot about this stuff could not get it to work.  So I called and they said it was bc of the tivo.  And we could buy another part and it "might" fix it.  Not thanks, i'm not spending more money so it might work, that also means it might not!  Then I had to fight with them to give me my money back, they didn't know why I didn't want to keep the service even though it obviously was not working with our house.  I had to talk to about 8 different people and explain I didn't want the service . Pain in the butt!

    When I called to cancel I had to go through about 8 people explaing to them why their service sucks too.....it would constantly go off line.....so unreliable.  You can get similar pricing with all inclusive plans through your cable company or Verizon usually too, and we've never had any issues with their services.

  • we have had it for two years now and love it. once it was set up, that was it. it comes directly out of my account each month and no worries. i think it is 19 and some change per month. Never had a problem with it disconnecting or anything. I think it all has to do with your cable provider as well.
