I'm getting too big for my uniform. What are you doing for scrubs? I see the maternity Cherokee scrubs, but the tops are a little pricey. I think I can get away with my drawstring pants that I already have.

Re: Health care professionals-come in
I'm a unit clerk. A nurse I work with that has had kids already gave me some of her larger scrub shirts from when she was pregnant. They're not the most comfortable things in the world but they're doing the trick. They're not maternity, just XL or something. Same with the scrub pants, but they're WAY too long for me. I have to roll the waist and fold the hem of the legs. >.<
That reminds me... I need to bring them in and give them to the next pregnant girl on my floor.

I'm still able to wear most of my tops at this point, but the pants are getting too snug. I just bought a few pairs of cheap pants at Walmart that are a little bigger but still have the elastic back and drawstring front.
I refuse to buy maternity scrubs - If I have to start wearing plain t-shirts and a bigger jacket so be it. I cant see spending the money on them!
I can surprisingly squeeze myself into my old stuff. I would recommend getting a few scrub jackets and just wear a t-shirt under it. Or just wear a plan t-shirt with your scrub pants. At least with jackets you will still be able to wear them after the baby is born. I also work in L&D and they provide scurbs so it isnt a problem. But our sizes are color coded so everyone knows when you put on a bigger size and comments on it so I'm still squeezing my huge tits and belly into a small ; ) I'm not sure what type of settng you work in but if there is a L&D there you may be able to ask them for a few pairs of bigger sizes to help you get through, or surgery or the doctors/residents are usually provided scrubs. Good luck, and I hate the scrubs are so freaking expensive.
