Has anyone decided to get a compact or portable crib instead of a full sized crib? If so, what is the reason?

We're getting the Arm's Reach full sized co-sleeper because it goes from a bedside sleeper to a pack and play type thing. I figure when the baby is old enough to not be in a co-sleeper, he will also be big enough to sleep in the pack and play ok.

I got a portable crib due to it was a bit smaller and took up less space.
