*Or holiday of your choice
Since we aren't traveling to AZ to visit my parents or up to MN to visit dh's family, we've been invited to spend Christmas Eve with our best friends Vicki and Fred at Fred's parents house. V&F live in Pittsburgh and will be visiting for a week and we haven't seen them since the weekend of our BFP, so I'm pretty psyched to hang out with them. F's brother and new gf and a few friends of his parents will also be there, so it won't be awkward like we're crashing some intimate family thing. And his parents are pretty cool and are like our surrogate parents in this area since our own families are so far away.
Re: Anyone not spending Christmas* with family?
I'll be spending it with my coworkers and laboring women haha.
But at least I'll have off next Christmas for baby's 1st.
I'll be with DH's family (800 miles from my own family)... this is the first Christmas I have been away from my family (usually we spend Thanksgiving with DH's family and Christmas with mine), and it's especially hard because my dad isn't with us anymore. I am a little worried about my mom, but this is the trade-off with being married I guess!
