2nd Trimester

since none of us can afford our baby now...

thanks to the budgeting class I went to, I guess we'll just have to give up.Big Smile

What I find humorous, is this girl in the class tells the instructor, "what am I supposed to do if I can't afford these things for my baby"?

My smartass said this: "you shouldn't have gotten pregnant.  this child is more important than whatever else you may want, so you'll have to figure it out. duh".

I don't believe I was well liked.

  • Damn! I guess I should give up my biweekly Japanese Manicure's and nails wraps.  I guess that money would be better used towards formula.

    Hmmm. Decisions, decisions.

Well let's not get TOO crazy... babies are little... surely they don't need THAT much food...

    ;)

  • Too bad tiny babies grow up into expensive toddlers and teenagers...... That is hilarious what you said in class!! Way to go!
  • I know when looking at the number in whole it's a lot...but I don't think we really spent much more a month after having DD. Start buying diapers now every time you go to the store in different sizes. Go grocery shopping with lists so you don't buy anything you don't need and look into farmers market. I know I save a ton of money buying produce at farmers market instead of the grocery store and it tastes much better.

  • on a serious note - do not dilute formula. my local news station ran a piece on this today.  a women who was tight on cash started watering down her baby's formula and it resulted in the baby having seizures.

Yeah - I remember this article.  Stupid biotch had the nerve to blame WIC for not providing her enough formula.  WIC is supposed to help supplement your income - not totally feed you or your infant.

  • bran, your puppies are adorable!!!!
  • Oh no, have all the babies you want, the more the better for applying for Medicaid.  Then we will all buy those things for your baby!

I'm only half joking b/c i know how important Medicaid is for some families.

  • the solution is to learn to feed your entire families from the nenny!  it will cut down on waste, save money, and makes for easy dish duty after meals.
