Is this a reasonable rant?

Our office is very small and has very few people.  Just based on our creeky wood floors and how people walk, I know who is going where in the office without even looking. Especially the restroom - that door - it could not be more obvious someone going in there and shutting the door and coming out.

I primarily answer the phones and I never let it ring past two rings - 9 times out of ten it's on the first ring.  To me, everyone should be aware enough to know if I've stepped away from my desk and that they should grab the phone.  For example, running into the potty.  At this point, make a mental note to grab the phone.  If nothing else, it rings by the third time, I obviously can't get to it, so uh, get the phone.

I'm not terribly irritated by this but kind of think that it's not that hard to be aware of certain things.

I suppose but I don't really want to announce I'm going to the restroom even if it's without specifically saying so.  In my last office, I'd walk by the other acct person and lightly say "going down the hall" but she and I were friends enough that was alright.
