I missed my good friends son's birthday party on Saturday because a little girl that was going was just getting over a stomach bug. My son's party is this saturday, I didn't want him sick, so we stayed home.
Today I go for Brandons 2 year well visit and the kid that comes in behind us just vomitted all over himself in the car. I beat feet to the well area only 15-20 feet away from the desk. The toddler is still gagging and puking a little. Brandon is sleeping, so I throw a jacket over his stroller and face. I am huddled close to his stroller top. Like practically in tears. Then a kid comes in with a bucket and now I am freaking. Then the power goes fing out and I volunteered to reschedule. I am a total Emetophobe. I literally am shaking I am so afraid we will get this just in time for his party.
Please tell me you have been in the same doctors office with a vomitting child nearby and you and your kids were just fine. I am petrified. My husband doesn't have any sick days left, if we all get this we are screwed financially. I am already losing my house. THis party will have to be cancelled after spending money we barely had on it. This sucks, I am in tears!
Re: I am being punished!
oh hon, I'm sorry things are so rough now.
My DD has been in daycare with all the vomoting and avoided it. Just try to make sure his and your hands are washed!
Try not to make yourself crazy, if its going to happen, there's not much you can do. Just jope he doesn't. I hope he doesn't!

Take a few deep breaths and try to relax. There is no way you can always prevent your child from getting sick. Just make sure you wash your hands (and DS's) constantly and lots of liquids.
Take a few moments for yourself too. You can't take care of everything if you don't take care of yourself. (HUGS)
Awe heather!!!! I'm sooo sorry!!! I am sure B. will be just fine...and if you have to cancel the party, then so be it-- no big deal, he won't know the difference.
I'm sorry that you are losing your house- that's so sad.
Man, times are REALLY getting tough for everyone!
you don't have to be sorry, you can vent!
when is the party?
no need to be sorry, thats what the nest is for... venting. We all do it!
ok the financial stress makes sense. I couldn't figure out why you were so freaked out about him getting sick. I'm sorry you're going through this. Have a good cry. Things will turn around for you guys in the end.
Don't stress about the party. It sounds like that's not really why you're upset to begin with.
