2nd Trimester

*mrsJazzsinger*

thank you thank you thank you for having that belly picture in your siggy!  i was starting to feel wierd and gross after i've seen and heard from so many other women about not showing AT ALL until after wk 17 or so... i've been showing for the past two weeks, and your pic made me feel soooooo much better about myself.  you look so cute and pregnant lady!

  • :::butting in::::

     i haven't been able to fit into any of my regular pants since 12 weeks or so...i'm 16 now and i definitely have a belly that could challenge a 20 weeker.  i actually think women who have slender builds (as you and mrsjazz and me) seem to show faster

    phelia i am loving and hugging the shit out of you right now too!!!!

  • Haha, thanks! I'm short and have a really short torso, so I was told I'd probably start showing a bit earlier (by my doctor who felt my uterus above my pelvic bone just before 11 weeks). I've been really sick still and throwing up every day, but the belly keeps growing. I'll probably be one of those pregnant ladies who has to hold on to everything to avoid tipping forward when I'm in my late 3rd trimester :)
  • i had an ob appt yesterday and i put on 4 lbs in 3 weeks...but i don't feel too bad b/c #1 at my last appt i was weighed first thing in the morning but yesterday it was at 4:30 and i'm always heavier later in the day - so i am crediting myself 1 lb for that and #2 i can't remember the last time i took a decent poop so i'm giving myself another 1 lb for the crap factor....soooooo in my world i really only gained 2 lbs, which is right on target.
  • I have my 16w appt a week from tomorrow and I'm really curious as to how much my weight has changed (we don't have a scale at home). I've definitely outgrown a lot of clothes in the past couple of weeks, but I also have barely been eating and puking a lot of what I do eat. I'm guessing that nothing will have changed in the month between this next appointment and my last one, but we'll see.
  • yeah we don't have a scale either.  it's so hard b/c nothing fits quite right now.  i'm too small for a lot of maternity stuff and too small for my normal clothes.  i rely heavily on the bella band.

     i was one of the lucky ones who escaped the first trimester with very little m/s and always felt better when i ate...now in the 2nd tri, i'll i want to do it eat...so i'll probably push this kid out at 200 lbs!

  • You got lucky, I made almost to week 10 before my m/s kicked in and I haven't had much of an appetite yet. One of these days its going to kick in full force and I'm going to put on 10 pounds in a week :)
  • i meant i'm too BIG for my regular stuff (definitely not too small)
