I'm a smart cookie!

I have been trying out ideas of things that I can prepare ahead of time and freeze or keep in the fridge so that I can defrost or DH can take out and just pop in the oven. I finally perfected my breakfast quiche. I made it last night, left it in the fridge, popped it in the oven this morning for 30 min and it came out scrumptious. I also opted to add extra sausage and ham and cheese so DH and DD loved it even more!! Any of you ladies have any ideas of food to freeze/put in fridge let me know and I'd be happy to lend any help I can as well.

  • Mmmm now I want cookies.

  • Baked Ziti
    Minestrone Soup

My DH is a vegetarian so it's hard to find a lot of good recipes that are freezer-friendly and have no meat.

I don't know if freezing soup is such a good idea. I tried it once = not pretty. I have cut up all the ingredients though and put them in the freezer. Then when it came time to make it, it was 1, 2, 3! I also started just getting into the habit of cutting up lots of green/red/yellow peppers, garlic, onions, etc. when I buy it in bulk and freezing them so when I need to cook, I just grab it out the freezer and it cuts down on prep time.
