Leftover saltine crackers?

Make this! It's so easy, and your tummy will be sooo happy:

Place 35 saltine crackers (about one sleeve) on a foil lined cookie sheet.

Melt together 1 cup butter & 1 cup brown sugar, stirring constantly til smooth. (Only takes a few minutes.) Pour over saltines and put in 350 degree oven for 10 minutes.

Immediately upon removing from oven, sprinkle with chocolate chips (about 1/2 a bag). Let melt for 2 minutes, and then spread evenly with spatula.

Cool completely (I throw it in the freezer when really impatient), remove from foil, enjoy!

I call it Toffee Yum Yum, and I'm indulging right now.

  • Wow that sounds so simple...I will have to give it a try.
  • It's the easiest thing to make, takes almost no time, and is always a hit at carry-ins or parties. I had two half empty boxes of saltine crackers leftover from when I first got pregnant and could eat hardly anything, so I decided to whip up a batch tonight.
