I have to be away from ds for the first time ever!!!!!!!!!!  I leave for training for my new job next Monday and return next Friday (only 5 days) but that seems like an eternity b/c I have never even spent the night away from him.  I am not worried about his care, dh is a great dad and knows his son and his nighttime routine.  I only have to leave instructions for the morning but I know I am going to miss him soooooooooooo much and it breaks my heart to think about it.  Anyone ever been away from their dc longer than one night??  How did you manage?  Luckily this is the only travel involved  - this will go fast right?

It will be difficult but you can do it.  I had to be away from my DD for 2 days when she was 7 days old.  It was miserable!  I guarantee you it will not be fun but you will make it through.  (((HUGS))))

You can do it! It will be fine, you might even enjoy a little of the freedom. Just think, you can take a long bath, go out without a diaper bag, sleep in... Think of the?positives, it will help ease your mind.?

You are going to miss him, and that it natural but it is going to be just fine and think how excited he will be when you come home!

You can do this. I've had to be away from our DS for a few days too. Just concentrate on your work and you'll be home before you know it.

You CAN do it!!!  I was away from DS for 3 nights (I went on a business trip with DH, DS stayed with my mom and dad).  I may be in the minority here, but I was really looking forward to it!  I am a SAHM, and really needed the break.

let me just say, i am giving props to sahm!! i stayed home with ds yesterday and today ( i start in the office tomorrow) and omg!  i love my son to death but his whiney moments make me whiney, lol!!!  infact, i just vaccummed the whole house with a 28lb child on my hip and i have sweat stains under my arms the size of africa!  we are going to visit uncle josh right now for a BREAK!!!

DH and DD went to NY for 4 days without me.  Despite having to wake up to pump, I actually enjoyed myself.  Since I was at home, I was able to get some projects done and I felt like a single girl again!  I'd love another one!
