Babies: 0 - 3 Months

? about 3 month pictures

If you've taken/will be taking your 2-3 month old for professional pics, how did you time it so they'd be awake and happy for the sitting? I was thinking of feeding DS before leaving, but then he'll probably pass out in the car and be hard to wake up. On the other hand, if I feed him when we get there he'll be awake but he'll probably spit up all over his clothes! (he's a big spitter). Curious what the rest of you have done.

  • We did ours at Kiddie Kandids because we had a gift card there.  They accept walk ins if they have openings.  We just did that.  One night ds was really content and happy so I decided to try it.  If we got there and he got grumpy then no loss because we didn't have an appointment.  We just took the risk of them not having an opening.  It worked out good for us.

  • I just had pictures taken on Sunday.  I made sure to feed him before we left.  He fell asleep in the car, but woke up once we got there and I took him out of the carseat.  Does your DS usually have long naps during the day?  Can you schedule the appointment during a time he's normally up and active?  The photographers are a huge help too.  I've had pictures taken now three times and all the photographers I've used have been really great working with babies.  I think they pick up little tricks, so they know how to get a good shot.

  • I just scheduled a time and hoped for the best. Both times it ended up working out to my benefit and she has no set schedule whatsoever.
