Both of my girls were sitting up by themselves by 5mo. My oldest was 4mo.
BUT.....they were both in physical therapy for torticollis, so they had professional working with them 2-3x a week. It's not that they're just THAT spectacular, they're just physically advanced because a professional is working with them. My oldest was walking by 10mo because the PT had her sitting, crawling, and pulling to standing by 6mo.
I guess if this one doesn't need PT, he/she will seem really behind, but actually be totally normal!
Somewhere between that 5 and six month mark. I just know on her 5 mo. pic she's propped up, and on her 6 mo pic, she's sitting up. She's a champ now. She'll even catch herself before she falls.
DS was a 32 weeker. He could tripod really well at 7 months and was sitting pretty well without tripoding by 8 months. He didn't get into a sitting position on his own behalf until last week when he learned to crawl.

Hi -- it's been awhile since I've seen you on. How are the boys? I see you found out you're having another boy! Congratulations!
