Nails Scratching Face - Advice

Hi,

DD is 14 weeks old and despite the fact that I filed her fingernails yesterday, she had a big scratch on her nose when I went into her nursery this morning. ?It must have been bleeding a bit because I saw some dried blood on the sleeve of her pjs.

I'm having her 3 month photos taken on Saturday and I'm hoping that it will have healed by then. ?Can I put any ointment on it? ?What about a tiny band-aid?

I'm worried about her rubbing her face and getting the ointment on her hands, which will then go into her mouth. ?

???

  • my DD just did that to her nose last week.  it healed in like 2 days.  babies are quick healers.  i would just keep mittens on her hands at night just in case she does it again before the pics.  if it doesn't heal by saturday, i'm sure they can photoshop it out.

  • Just dding my two cents, as I'm a lurker. I've been told that putting a drop or two of breastmilk on cuts and scrapes is just as good as ointment, and safer.
