Babies on the Brain

MIL - vent

She just called to see if we could go to dinner for BIL's bday on Wednesday and throws in an "Oh, and I guess to celebrate yours as well," because mine was last week and they didn't acknowledge it in the least.  I tell her that is the one night this week I can't go because I have to go to a meeting for grad school and she asks if DH has to go with me.  When told he doesn't (WHY would he need to accompany me to a meeting for grad school???) she gets all happy and says, "Well, maybe he'd like to go with us that night."  And DH wonders why I have issues with her.

Vent over...and now I need to get off the vent train!  Big Smile

Yeah, that's ventworthy but not the end of the world.

Nope, actually I'm happy I got out of it!  I just get annoyed because I know I'll be the bad guy that didn't want to come to dinner and is "too busy" for them.  *sigh*

  • at least you don't have to go
