What the hell is up with true/false questions? Okay, so there is a 50/50 chance you'll get them right, but why do they make the questions SO much more hard than the multiple choice or fill in the blanks?
I just took my finals tonight, and half was true/false questions, and I think I did pretty bad on that part of the test even though I studied for 3 days straight. Yikes.
Re: NBR: College girls
I'm not in college but was at one time and I was a teacher so I know those DO suck but they have to be harder because there is a 50/50 chance. They try to throw in one little part that makes it false when it sounded so true, you know. I just hate tests and papers or I would try to go back to school.
Hope you did well!
That's exactly it! They throw a couple words in there that could make it true or false and it messes with you big time. Ugh. Guess I'll see how I did next week!
It's easy to grade, and it's easier to see if you have grasped the details of a subject.
With multiple choice, reading the test over once and then answering can sometimes help you answer questions, or the choices themselves can be leading. But with true false they can put in a statement that is 99.5% true and then there's this ONE detail/kernel that is not correct...thus making the whole thing false. It tests whether you are really up on the subject and it makes sure you are paying attention and not skimming...that you have the attention to details.
And it's annoying as all hell. And you know how profs LOVE that.
