XP - angelcare deluxe movement monitor

does anyone have this?  if so, what do you think of it?

babycenter sends me these automatic emails based on J's age, and one of the articles was about SIDS so of course now i'm feeling extra worried about it.  we were thinking of buying this monitor anyway, but now i feel an increased sense of urgency.  it's possible i'm being ridiculous, but if you own this monitor, do you like it?  do you get a lot of false alarms?

thanks!

  • I considered it. But, we ultimately bought a video monitor. I LOVE IT. I can see his chest rising and falling on the screen and it's seriously the best baby investment we made.  Good luck deciding. I feared it would create more worry so we decided against it and I am kind of glad we did.
  • I've got it and I love it.   Gives me a total peace of mind.  A few false alarms in the beginning as we learned the settings, and then a few false alarms if we swaddle him to tight.  But I'd totally recommend it.

  • LOVE IT! I could not live without mine. I have the basic model. I have only had a few false alarms but it's when ds has been in a suuuuuper deep sleep. We ran in there and basically rattled him and he didn't even wake up. So he was in a deep sleep.

seriously when ds wasn't sttn, i was getting NO sleep because when he wasn't up. I was up worrying if he was still alive. This monitor saved my sanity. It let me actually get REST not just sleep.

I could be the spokeswoman. I had it delivered like overnight because I needed it that quickly. lol.

You will not be sorry if you buy it.

  • yep! we have it. we have had two false alarms. the first one she scooted to the top of the crib and off of the sensor and the second was because the sensor pad moved off of the platform.

its pretty alarming when it goes off but 100% worth it to me.

(typing one handed sorry about the run ons) ?

  • have it and love it! no false alarms yet.

  • We have it too and like others, had some false alarms at the beginning while learning the sensitivity.  Its definitely worth the money.
  • I do...and i love it! as long as you shut it off when you take the baby out...haha. I havent had any false alarms yet.
