Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Come in if you have a 4 mo old...

When I put DS in a sitting position, and his arms are by his side, his hands dont touch the floor.  i dont know if this is normal or not.....does your DC's hand reach the floor?

Im saying this becaue my friend has a 5.5 month old and she said that her DD just started balancing her body with her hands when she sits her up...

  • DS is 5 months tomorrow and he does balance himself, but his arms are in front of him and he has to bend forward.  Are you sure that the 'tripod' isn't what your friend was referring to?

  • DD has been sitting for about 2 weeks now without help, and she leans forward in order for her hands to touch the floor.  When she's not leaning forward, her hands don't touch.

  • They only reach the floor if he leans forward. ?Otherwise, they are too short. ?I think the "tripod" as a PP called it is pretty cute.
  • i know what you mean my DD's arm don't reach either and i was wondering the same thing the other day. my dd can sit by herself for a few seconds by herself but that's about it.?
