Provera and Pregnancy

I've recently been put on the medication Provera after skipping 2 months after coming off BC.  I'm worried that if I do get my period that I still won't ovulate afterwards and therefore won't get pregnant...ever. 

Has anyone been in this situation and then had success?  How long did it take?  Any suggestions?

Don't worry. Coming of BC is a rollercoaster. I had a 60+ day cycle 2 different times. 8 months after coming off BC I started ovulating. It just takes some time for your body to adjust.

then why do I know so many people who have come off BC and gotten pregnant very quickly?  its so frustrating and heartbreaking.  i feel so selfish sometimes because I can't be fully happy for other people's good news, as awful as it to say, I get completely jealous

It is a roll of the dice what your body chooses to do. I know a lot of people that have gone off BC and gotten pg quickly too. All I can say is it teaches you patience. I know it feels unfair but just try to keep your head up and stay positive.
