Breastmilk question

I picked DD up a little early from daycare today.  They had already started warming up her afternoon bottle but hadn't given it to her yet.  Is it ok to just refrigerate it and send it in to daycare tomorrow??  I know kellymom.com says BM can be reheated and used at t he next feeding if it wasn't finished at the first.  But the bottle wasn't even offered to her, so no problems with her introducing bacteria to it.  But I'm not sure if its ok to heat and then wait till the next day to reheat and use.

My pumping output is low lately so being able to use this bottle tomorrow would be a huge help!

Re: Breastmilk question

  • yep, you can send it tomorrow.  just make sure they know that if she doesn't finish it all in the first take, it can't be reheated again (only two reheats allowed)

  • Great! Thanks!!  They won't reheat it anyways.  They can only heat once there and will not keep anything unfinished (and she usually takes it all anyways).
