I don't believe in God, but I also consider myself to be spiritual.  I guess I believe more in nature.  I also pray all the time, but I do it to remind myself to be thankful for all that I have.

eowynmn, you responded in Hippy's post that you could wrap your head around their being an afterlife, how is that being atheist?  Isn't atheism believing in absolutely nothing, nada, zip?  When you die, you go to nothingness.  That's my understanding anyway.

No seriously I am not religious, I think the bible was made up by some folks who wanted to inflict their ideas on people. I think there must be some thing out there that knows wtf is going on here (a puppet master? lol) but religion lacks logic for me and I just don't get it.
