Hello! I really want to buy a sling carrier to keep my small infant son close to me often throughout the day. I?ve read some reviews online, and I?m worried that with some of the sling carriers, it seems that the baby?s chin would end up positioned to close to his chest. Can anyone recommend a good sling carrier? Thanks!
Amy
Re: Sling carrier
Do you want a sling? Like a pouch? Or a wrap, soft structured carrier, or mei tai?
I HIGHLY recommend going over and registering on thebabywearer.com and you will get great advice and access to hundreds of reviews.
After trying two hotslings, two BabyHawks, several wraps, a Bjorn, Peanut Shell, Connecta, Yamo, Beco, AngelPackLX, Moshi and a few others that I can't think of, my recommendation for a small baby (under 3-4 months and under 15lbs) would be a stretchy wrap. Either a Moby or a LoveyDuds wrap.
For a 3+ month baby, my two favorites are a Connecta and a Yamo. I've been using my Connecta with my newborn though instead of my wrap. I can also carry my 22 month old in it. It can be used front/side/hip and up to 40lbs (my DD1 is 27lbs).
