doesn't everything sometimes seem to be a controversial topic on here? lol
I just wanted to say your siggie pic is adorable!!!!
P.S. Please remember all babies are different and sometimes the cereal does help. You might want to try oatmeal cereal though...it doesn't bind babies like the rice cereal can. just a thought :-) good luck!

We are starting this week. I'm not debating the merit's, however, we are starting 1 tsp. for 4 oz. bottle. DD STTN 5 out of 7 nights. My niece started STTN the 1st night they put it in her bottle. Best wishes.
We did, per a doctor's order. Our son has acid reflux.
He was only getting it in his bottle-- 1T per oz. It was extremely thick, and he hated it. We're no longer giving it to him, as he is mostly breastfeeding now, and it's a little hard to mix rice in my boob. LOL! His medication is also working wonders, and doesn't have any problems keeping his food down. We discussed it with the doc, who was fine with discontinuing it.
I'm not why people think that when you're told by a pediatrician to do so, it's an issue. I would NEVER do something like that on my own without discussing it first.
Also, when my sister was born, she had severe acid reflux from the start. They literally gave her rice in her bottle the day she was born in the hospital.
We started at 2 months with 1 tsp per ounce for reflux. We also used oatmeal because the rice cereal resulted in major constipation. Now that they are 4 months, we have started giving it to them with a spoon and they love it and are doing really well!
Re: Rice cereal in bottle?
we did for help with reflux. She would get 1 tsp per 2 ounces
ETA: It didn't help her sleep any better, but I'll admit we were hoping it would be a nice side affect!
