Seriously DH? (vent)

We've spent the whole day cleaning, and the house is looking a lot better.  We are eating dinner and watching tv, and DH knocks over his cup and it spills on the carpet.  He says "Ack!", picks it up, and goes back to eating.

There is a fist sized circle of water soaking into the carpet.  I look at him.  He says "What?  It's just water!"  We sit there for another 15 seconds or so until I get up and go get a towel to soak it up from the carpet. 

THIS is why our house is a pigsty.  And, I'd like to note, this is why the carpet is always stained next to where he sits to watch tv, nevermind the fact that I've steamcleaned it and gotten rid of the stains numerous times.

My DH doesn't do pee or puke. So if the dog has an accident or gets sick he will leave it until i get home.

On the other hand, I leave my dirty dishes for him to wash, and i don't rinse them.

In his defense, he is great about other things around the house, but taking care of the carpet is not one of them (he's the same way about pee/puke from our pets).

It's just frustrating because one of the major reasons we've spent the day cleaning up is so we can get the carpets cleaned.

Well yeah its JUST water which means no stains, but it can still set in and MOLD sets in!

Dh is far worse...we have linolium hard wood floors and it CANNOT have standing water on it.  I was using a clorox spray mop to clean the floor and he freaked out on me because it doesnt dry INSTANTLY.  I looked at him and said "Im not wet mopping, how do you think you MOP A FLOOR without liquid??? This stuff is LINOLIUM SAFE, so either b!tch about this or b!tch about the dirty floor, make your choice!"

Haha. Maybe he figures they're gonna get cleaned anyway so who cares? Not that I agree, but I bet that's whay he'd say if you flipped him crap about it. Silly man.

This is why my kids are banned to eating in the kitchen, not over carpet.  Once I let them out to eat over carpet, some catastrophe happens and back to the kitchen they go.  At least when we move, the carpet there is crap and will be replaced when we move out.  I can let them eat where ever the heck they want!
