Does your LO claw at their face/head when they're tired?

It starts out as an eye rub and then become this all out attack on his face and head.  He looks like a mad man.  I thought maybe if I rubbed his head for him, he'd like that better...but he became furious and had to rub his head himself.

  • Yes! It begins with the eye rub and turns into a frantic war. I stick the boob in her mouth a voila, she stops.

  • Yes. That's when the mittens go on! He's getting better now though since he has learned to suck his fingers.
  • DD flaps her arms around and claws at me when she is hungry.  It looks like a mini temper tantrum, poor thing.

  • Yeah Abby does that alot but it's lately been mostly just fiddling with her ear. I  know she's not sick, I think it's just her sleepy habit. But when she would claw at her face, I'd just let her hold my fingers in her hands or I'd hold her hands and rub her palms. It seemed to calm her down. I think they just get tired and so they can't control their arms/hands as well.
  • No, my DS only does that when he's hungry.  I have to say though, that pic of your DS with the chicken outfit is soooo cute (even though he doesn't look like the happiest of campers at the time)!! :)
  • Yep. She pulls her hair SO hard, too. It looks painful.
  • Yep, my little man always claws at his face & head when he is tired.  I just try to keep his nails short so he doesn't leave marks.
