Singing a solo without DH there = disaster

I sang Silent Night at church this morning.  DH is on duty and Nora refused to go to the nursery.  We sat with some people that I thought she'd be happy to stay with while I went up to sing.  I got through half of the first verse and Nora joined me at the front.  She tried peeking out through my legs, running up and down the isle and messing around behind the pulpit.  *sigh*  I'm sooo glad it will be on TV tomorrow and again later this week so that everyone in town can relive it--not.

  • Have to smile a little at that...at least I don't have the only child that can be "spirited" at church.

  • awe- that is cute- i'm sure nobody minded but you.

there are a few moms in our choir- when we go up to sing all the kids start screaming and have to be taken out... we're used to it :)

  • Ahh I think that is cute.  When my uncle was ordained as a priest my bro and I were 2.  Well my brother ran right past everyone in the pew and up to see uncle dennis!  My uncle was mortified at the time being a new priest and all, but if DS was to do that today my uncle would pick him up and introduce him to the congregation.  I'm sure no one minded.

  • Don't worry about it.  Usually people in church think everything kids do is adorable....even when it isn't to us.
