cd and hand-washing/detergent?

We are going to stay at a house with no washing machine on our vacation in Southeast Asia (total 2 weeks), and I'm worried about hand-washing with the detergents they have there (build-up/sensitivity). Is it crazy to think about bringing detergent or would hand-washing with baby soap work short-term? We'll be using mostly pf's I think, with a few fitteds (mostly to show fam/friends who are curious) and obviously line-drying.

Could you pack some CC and just dilute it with boiling water while you're there?

Hmm I didn't know you could handwash with CC! I think I'll have to try some...

I would think if you make a paste out of a reeeeealy small amount, you'd be fine.

first of all kudos to you for using cd's on a trip to SE asia!  i would be all over the G-diapers or Tushies or even Pampers!  secondly, i would be careful bringing powdered detergent with you- i feel like that is something that would get taken at airport security!  thirdly, i am jealous of your trip.
