Costco return policy?

Does anyone know if Costco needs my receipt if I am returning a toy I bought a few weeks ago?  Can they just look at my account and find it on their computers? I don't think they have the toy there anymore, if that makes a difference.

The can find it thru your card.  I had to do that a few weeks ago.  I retuned an item the did not have and it did not matter
