NBR dreading DH's office party

Just thinking about the office party next weekend. DH is new at the firm, so I haven't met any of these people. They sound like a really conservative bunch and I am nervous about meeting them. I'll either be really quiet and they'll think I'm a dud, or I'll get nervous and start rambling - and manage to put my foot in my mouth. And I still can't decide what to wear - I've bought and returned three outfits already. Uggggh. I just want to get it over with. The kicker is that there are two other really fun parties that night and we have to miss them to attend this : (  Am I the only one who gets stressed about this kind of thing? I mean, it's a party - it's supposed to be something to look forward to, right?

LOL, you bought three outfits and returned them? LOL. Just go with something classic and elegant (LBD?) and you'll be fine. And at least at most of the office parties I've been too there's some alcohol- just grab a glass of wine, attach yourself to DH and have him do all of the talking.

I hear you.  I have DH's company Christmas party tomorrow night.  He's only been at this job for 10 months and I don't know any of these people.  Also, I am also hosting a baby shower for a friend tomorrow.  So, I need to hurry and clean up after everyone leaves, then get ready for the party and drive (with DH) 45 minutes to where the party is.  I'm exhausted just thinking about how long tomorrow is going to be!

Uggg I'm dreading DH's on Sunday night too. ?The invites said dinner was at 8 and so we made arrangements with a friend to hang out while DS sleeps and she can't be here until 7:30, perfect right? ?Well it would be if they didn't call a big meeting yesterday and announce that the invites were wrong and dinner is a 7, hello you just figured that one out. ?The parties are always super lame too. ?
