? for those with mobile babies now

I have an excauser that I use to put DD in when I need to eat ( of course in record time) or get dinner ready  but now I feel like I am her shadow for like 14-16 hours per day! ha ha She is now climbing and standing on her own but cant walk without falling over-she can take a few steps but dosent know to fall on her bum. Anyways, should I get a big playpen for her for when I need to get stuff done or did you just continue to use the excauser. She dosent seem to dig it anymore so I wasnt sure if it was worth buying something else.

If I were you I'd buy either a playpen or one of those gated areas and put toys in there. That's the only way I get things done unless DH is home.

i put DD in her highcahair with some puffs, a sippy cup or a toy while i cook dinner, eat or wash dishes. it works for about 30 min. i mostly get stuff done while DH is home, shes napping, or i just dont get anything done!

I 2nd the highchair with a bunch of puffs.  That is about the only place that she is happy being confined.  The exersaucer used to buy me at least 15-20 minutes but now she starts whining after 5 minutes tops.

I use out pack-n-play. and so I don't need to buy something else. But I am always looking on Craigslist and they always have play pens and stuff on there for pretty decent price instead of buying something else that will only be used for a short period of time.

I have this gate and its a must in our house. I wouldnt be able to get anything done without it.
