He's sick... :(

Gabey has his first cold.  He was up coughing off and on all night.  Audrey I am sure is on her way, but Gabe is definitely not up to par.   He seems in good spirits, no fever and has been eating ok.  Anything I should know/do?  Its my *first* sick baby, with many more to come I am sure.  I cranked the humidifier up...  and it doesn't seem to be a "junky" cough and its not a "seal bark" either...  just an irritating dry hack....

    Poor little guy!  Be sure to get some of the vicks baby rub!  I hope you get some sleep, colds are tough on mommy's too~!

    call your ped about the Vicks.  I thought you couldn't put it on them til they were 6 months old? 

     But ask your ped about the vicks vaporizer things that you plug into the wall.  those seem to help.  They're pretty strong though, so I'd ask your ped there too.

     If you think he has a snotty nose, saline nose drops help to loosen stuff up.  I never was good at the bulb thing for sucking it out, but I'd put the saline in and just let it drain on its own.

     Make sure you keep an eye on his temp.  I know they really like to know about fevers when they're so little.  I hope he kicks it quickly!
