Feeding time difficulties

DS has picked up this habit of banging on the tray of his high chair (with his hand) while I'm trying to feed him.  This was kinda funny/cute at first, I know he's just learning and this is noise to him but in the beginning he would still eat fine.  Now he's all about swinging his arm non stop and hitting the spoon in my hand which makes food go everywhere and then he plays in it.  Its not too bad with cereal but the fruits and veggies that are thinner don't stay on the spoon as well.
