Not happy with SIL right now

Two problems with my SIL *and I've never had an issue with her in 7 years*.....Chris' MRI came back abnormal.  She told MIL that Chris probably had a brain tumor that will need to be removed (MIL told me she said this) and now MIL is all upset.  Who would say something like this?

Problem two, she had twins almost 3 months ago and has NEVER been alone with them.  She expects MIL to be there during the day while BIL works.  MIL said she takes care of the kids so SIL can do whatever she needs to do.  I asked her when the second girl came home from the NICU if I could have 2 pictures of the girls each to make a calendar for MIL for Christmas.  I e-mailed her several times to remind her and told her that the shutterfly sale ended today.  She's not done it.  It's not like she doesn't have the time.  MIL takes care of the babies, not SIL.  Yet again, she had her shower a month before the babies were born and we've still not recieved a thank you.

I'm not defending her, but maybe she's still hormonal? Is it possible that she's really stressed with the babies and with abnormal MRI and was just venting/questioning about a brain tumor?

It could be but MIL is a basket case now and I'm calming MIL not the opposite.  But, it was my child's abnormal brain MRI not her children's.

Oh I see, then I would peeved at her too. I hope everything goes well with your DS.

Are you going to call her and ask her why she said that?

I don't know what to do right now.  It's the first time I've really been upset with her.  But she has MIL in hysterics over this.  Chris has been having daily seizures and I think that this is the proof that I need to show everyone that they are seizures.  MIL said I was overreacting.  IMO, this will just be the proof we need to put him on some sort of med to stop what is going on.

I would be terribly hurt too. I'll say a prayer for your family. I hope you get to the cause of the seizures.
