Love/HATE Costco

Don't get me wrong, I love getting 6 gallons of soy milk for 12.99 and eleventy billion wipes for 14.99 and doesn't every household need 36 rolls of TP?!

But it is SO annoying there. OK, if you truly starving (which I doubt judging by the jumbo pack of Chips Ahoy in your cart) then by all means push me and my infant and toddler out of your way to get to the samples.

Otherwise, getthefuck outta my way!   <----holiday spirit for ya

Maybe I am bitter b/c I want the jumbo pack of Chips Ahoy, but Costco kills my mood every visit

  • Agreed.  And if you are stopping to get a sample, move your sh!t out of the way of the aisles please!!

I had this very argument in my head the last time I went.  Do the samples make the place more enjoyable or more annoying??  I decided both because on occasion a pumpkin pie sample will keep DD occupied for some time.  But, when you aren't in the mood for samples, they are awful.

It's such a zoo at my Costco during the Holidays too.  It's *almost* not worth it...but then again, everywhere else is busy too.

  • My FIL can be in and out of there in 10 min with everything he needs. It takes me an hour just to find a couple of things. I don't go there unless I have to and only when it's not busy.
  • Or they leave the cart in the middle of the isle to get a stupid sample and block EVERYONE from getting by.  We call this pulling a costco.

     I feel ya!

  • I thank God every time that DH is the one who does the Costco shopping. I hate that place.

I was there yesterday at 11 AM.  It was packed ;)

  • I only go when they 1st open at 10am. ?Our store doesn't give out samples until the 11am opening. ?I'm long gone by then. ?Plus I only go when I don't have DD with me. ?I'm a in and out person at Costco. ?I can't stand going there when it is busy. ?It is horrible!?

  • Yes, they leave their carts in the middle of the aisle while they shovel crap in their face and stand there chomping.

Did you come to EAT or SHOP?

  • Oh and I love it when the samples not ready yet and they stand there and wait for it!!  LOL, it's a tiny slice of a mini-quiche...it's not gold :)
  • LOL, we just joined last weekend.  We liked it, but I did tell MH that it would be easier for us to go without Noah or very first thing in the morning on a weekday.  That place was insanely busy.  I have to go tomorrow to get stuff for a shower for this weekend...boo.

Haha!! A-freakin'-men!! Seriously, if you are *that* hungry, go outside and buy the $1.50 pizza and coke. I'll give you the buck five-o to get out of my way.

  • Amen!!  Especially to the waiting in line for the bite of frozen pizza.  I love Costco, but the samples are never that delicious that I feel the need to prolong my trip by waiting in line/shoving to the front of a crowd.
  • Agreed!!  I say the same thing every single time I go there!!  And to make matters worse, I always run errands before DD's nap so it's right around lunch time.  Argh!
