So here's why you need a bigger car

because your kids friends start getting dropped off at your house and you have to take them to school, the park etc. I personally didn't really think of that all too much and was all happy with my Volvo Sedan (I love Volvos) but there is no room for anymore than just Natalie and Owen.

Re: So here's why you need a bigger car

  • So if I refuse to get a 9-mpg SUV or a minivan, is my DD destined to have no friends? Stick out tongue I'm being a shit today. I refuse refuse refuse refuse to by a minivan and don't want an SUV that's 3-row big.

  • Tell them to get their own ride. yea right.
  • Loading the player...
  • I hear ya'! I have resisted as long as a could. But we do a lot of playdates before school and the kids (and us moms) love it so I need the space.
  • Hybrid Highlander, people. Eco friendly and three rows...
  • Our next car will probably be the Highland Hybrid.  I was disappointed to hear your review of the third row, but it's not off my list yet.  I know we'll need something bigger (living far from relatives, we have a lab who doesn't fit in the car with 4 of us right now, etc).  Just not quite a necessity yet...  GL finding something!
  • I looked at it Sulla and it sucked. The 3rd row was so tiny. I did not love it at all.
  • Really? My friend with 3 kids loves hers and I was holding out hope for it....
  • Which is precisely why we just bought a new Sequoia.

Which is precisely why we went with the Sequoia over the Highlander.  3rd row might as well not exist in the Highlander.  It's a joke.  And so is the price of hybrid batteries.  No thanks....I'll wait until the get it a little more figured out and affordable!

  • Maybe it was the year of the one I saw, though I don't know what year it was, but the backseats were weird little pop ups with no leg room. Before I saw it I had it high on my list but the more I thought about the space needed over the next several years the more the Infiniti made more sense. If I had the cash maybe I could get the new Yukon hybrid..but those are 50-70K depending on the year.

I'm hoping by the time we buy are next vehicle there are more earth friendly options.
